To be feeling lonely?

I'm doing training away from home atm. 6 days away and 3 home until end of Feb. I'm on my second lot now.

I did the SpareRoom thing and my landlady's lovely but she does long shifts (13 hours!) and atm I'm doing 7-3.30.
I don't drive so reliant on public transport which tbf is great round here.

OH dropped me off after a nice Nando's and he's picking me up on Sunday (booked Monday off as annual leave as it's his 59th birthday. I'm actually following him as he goes home on Find my Friend and I think it's making me feel worse. I have to get up at 05:30 as well :(
I could have stayed at home but it's 2 hours each way on public transport and the roads are truly dire here with traffic

Read, download a series? Do you have WiFi?

Pressed post too soon

Just wondering if anyone else has done this sort of thing and how did u cope?

I haven't lived alone for 20+ years having kids etc, and it just feels weird! DS2 is 18 and working full time so I don't see him much anyway but I still miss seeing his stroppy little face in the evening and having a cuddle with oh.

Yeah. I went through 3 books last week. Lol. WiFi is ok but not great for streaming, plus I've left my earphones at home dammit!

Can't you face time or Syke your family? Teens seem to spend hours chatting to friends this way. Alternatively read, watch box sets. See if you can borrow someone's dog to walk. I always end up chatting to other dog walkers.

Yeah. I always have my evening chat.
Think it's the first evening thing and I'll be back in the routine tomorrow. Just counting down the weeks until I'm done. 5 more and I'll be back home and onto my 12 hour shifts (lol) on nights.

Sorry but I would love a few days peace on my own Grin my DC's are little though so it's a madhouse most of the time.

I would go to the cinema, watch rubbish on TV, go shopping, sit in a cafe, local sightseeing? At least for the afternoon bit?
