"The point about old lady perms is persuasive, but no one really does them anymore, do they? Except the Queen and Princess Anne"
The hairdressers I (very rarely) go to is an "old lady" hairdressers. Only place in town that does perms still. I like it because she is a damn good cutter, LISTENS to what I ask for, and NOT scissor happy and cheap £10 for trim and blow dry
Whenever I go elsewhere they try and hard sell me to dye (happy to be naturally greying, I'm lucky that redheads tend to go silvery and the distribution means it rather looks like highlights) and go much shorter which is NOT what I want but I suffer from anxiety and they usually start this bollocks when your hairs already wet and you're cornered!
My mums hairdresser - I'd be surprised if they even knew how to do anything other than bobs!
Princess Anne's hair is bloody awful! That style has NEVER been in fashion! Shame because while I'm a republican I actually don't mind her I've even met her on a few occasions and while she takes no nonsense she seems a good person.
It looks like (and pics of her when young seem to back this up) it's thick and naturally wavy/curly. She suits it better longer and looser imo, but even if she hates the curl these days she could have it properly straightened. The style she favours looks like she's fought and brushed it into submission with no real thought beyond keeping it out the way!
I think the queen should go looser but use a simple updo. Let's be honest she's not doing it herself no reason why not. French knot, Gibson tuck and similar.
Anne should try a short style a little longer on top but not a full fringe.
Ladybrienne no idea what you're using to create those pics but I'd be very interested to see possible images of my ideas?
