AIBU to ask you for the reason why you are awake at this time?

Me: couldn’t go back to sleep after ds woke. How about you?

At first i was awake with 5week old and then all of a sudden there was a huge spider on the bed n now im freaked out and cant sleep. Baba is fast asleep now.

Well I was feeling sorry for myself until I read the full thread to you all.
Up with DS at 3.45 (after he finally settled properly at 10.45), fed til 4.20, he seemed like he was snoring away so I got back into bed thinking about my 30 mins extra til my alarm for work no such luck. Gave up trying to resettle at 4.50 as baby far too alert and enthusiastic...

It's nearly 12.15 and I should be asleep, but we're due for snow overnight and I'm counting on school having a delayed start tomorrow so we can all have a lie in.

I wake at 3-4am most nights. I think it's because I'm not physically active enough during the day these days, but I'm undergoing chemo for cancer so I literally can't be very active, even if I wanted to. (And I do want to).

WoahBodyforrrm I hope all goes well on Thursday, I don;t know what to say but I cannot imagine how it feels to be in your shoes , I too hope you have many more years in you.

oddsocksandmeatballs thank you so much. I commented before I read the thread and have just seen your post. I cannot even begin to imagine how hard that is for you. Something a mother should never have to experience. for you too!

Stress. A bad cold stopping me breathing. Worried about a horrible situation that’s too outing to give details of but affects my children.

Got up now and downstairs with DD - sounds like a few of us are suffering! Work will be fine - I can log on later when others get in to give me a set of numbers of my work mobile which is handily sitting on my desk [ hmm].

My dog woke me up at 4.45 barking for the second night in a row, she just wanted a cuddle. Not sure what that is all about but it is nice having warm cuddles I suppose.

@Shednik it’s horrendous, and I’ve had a paramedic out to do obs and give me more meds, still feel appalling but he said nothing else A&E can do so I’m to see my GP later today. Still throwing up despite anti-sickness tablets and a completely empty stomach. Just hope GP can do something, cannot go on like this.

I didn't see this at the time but I was awake all night till after 4 because my mind just wouldn't switch off, everything imaginable was running through there! I'm going through an awful spell of not being able to sleep.

I didn’t see this but was awake, I have a chronic health condition that means periods of not being able to sleep, broken sleep.

How are you doing oratario ? I hope the GP could help? Tbh in that state I would expect a&e to admit you for IV pain relief. Also to rule out pancreatitis.

I’m in hospital now Shednik with a diagnosis of gallstones and pancreatitis, likely to be in here a few days, but at least I’m on an IV and getting some sleep at last!

As I post this, it is 4:30 in the afternoon (I am in Canada), and I am sitting outside my faculty advisor's office. I am awake, because I don't think it would be a good idea for him to have to wake me up before we talk about scholarships, and I have another class in 30 minutes.

However, I would rather be fast asleep.
