You would be unreasonable if you didnt.

Craft1905 · 07/01/2019 21:35

Surely it's one of your 5 a day. Along with a toffee apple, Haribo Strawbs and chocolate raisins.

TulipsInbloom1 · 07/01/2019 21:35

Yanb even a smidge u.

Enjoy

gottastopeatingchocolate · 07/01/2019 21:38

ooh - you just reminded me I was given one for Christmas and hid it on top of the fridge freezer (from DD!)

SheisMammyof2 · 07/01/2019 21:49

Yes I suspected as much.. I shall bow to the combined wisdom of MN! Grin

Better than eating a real orange. Smile

possumgoddess · 07/01/2019 21:50

I have a whole tube of Orange smarties. Yum yum yum. But I also have type 2 diabetes - so I won't be eating those then 😭

LegoPiecesEverywhere · 08/01/2019 00:04

Yabu only because I did it recently and felt sick

LittleScottieDog · 08/01/2019 00:13

Do it. Then you'd be living my dream! (I have no chocolate in the house Sad)

PiningForTheFjords · 08/01/2019 00:20

I did exactly that 2 days ago. I'm being very selfless by tidying up all the unhealthy food in the house so that DH and I can start eating healthily again after Xmas.
Tidy away Smile

potatoscone · 08/01/2019 00:24

YABU they taste slimy these days. Not the same. It will put you off for life.

BBInGinDrinking · 08/01/2019 00:29

I agree that they don't taste nice anymore. Sort of slimey and a funny taste and aftertaste. Is it the dreaded Palm Oil? In theory I'd have no objection to your plan, but I wouldn't want to do it myself anymore!

ILoveChristmasLights · 08/01/2019 00:32

People keep going on about chocolate tasting awful now...I’m not sure whether I’m happy or pissed off that it still tastes fine to me 😖

YANBU, I kind of relieved I’m not the only one to do it.

BBInGinDrinking · 08/01/2019 00:47

(slimy not slimey, oops)

The DCs are happier because their chocolate is less likely to get stolen by mummy now, but even they notice the taste difference - though that mostly doesn't stop them eating it.

We had some Willie's Cacao Luscious Orange instead at Christmas - that was nice, and available at Sainsbury's, for example, at about £2. A stronger taste, so it feels like you've had more than with a Terry's CO. There's a nice Co-op chocolate orange bar too.

BBInGinDrinking · 08/01/2019 00:56

We also tried the Lindt Lindor orange truffles, which also tasted a bit slimy and different, though not as much as a TCO now.

Right, I think that's the extent of my orange chocolate knowledge Wink

thegardenfairy · 08/01/2019 01:02

Thanks OP. That's just reminded me I have hidden a chocolate orange from the kids. I really feel like a chocolate orange now. On my way to 'find' it. Finders keepers... 😉

BrylcreamBeret · 08/01/2019 01:06

YABU. I shared mine with my Husband and kept a bit back for my son. If I can't eat the whole thing, neither can you!

BBInGinDrinking · 08/01/2019 01:10

It was always the bit right in the middle that was my favourite part.
