To think this is not the best chocolate in Britain

How has dairy milk won Britain best chocolate? Most people I know boycotted it ages ago because it tasted like wax
What is going on!

That whole chart was a crock of shit. Dairy Milk now bears no resemblance to the Dairy Milk I grew up with in the 70s and 80s. Same with Galaxy and Aero. Being number one now just means bring the best of a bad bunch.
That said, I still like a milky bar.

BarbaraofSevillle · 06/01/2019 20:24

I'm baffled as to how people are still buying Cadbury's chocolate. It's horrible.

But then again, lots of things that are very popular are just a bit shit really. Eg McDonalds, Subway, anything that Heinz put in a can, Pizza Hut, Dominos etc. Just about everything has a better, cheaper alternative, but the masses are brainwashed by advertising.

LucyAutumn · 06/01/2019 20:26

Thorntons make M&S chocolate, for those who are raving about it.

Shakirawannabe · 06/01/2019 20:26

Magoria it was on channel 5

I'm guessing it was a sponsored programme.

Justheretogiveaviewfrommyworld · 06/01/2019 20:27

I don't have sophisticated tastes by any means, but I loved the milk Poundland Twin Peaks that my youngest gave me for Christmas. I can't afford Toblerone though so can't compare.

delboysskinandblister · 06/01/2019 20:28

Lidl Rich Chocolate in the cardboard wrapper tastes like Cote D'Or

@Raininsummer

Green & Blacks is made by Cadbury

My favourite is Milka.
Nom nom nom

Or the mini Kinder bars

anniehm · 06/01/2019 20:29

Aldi gets my vote for bars, but I eat 70% dark usually not milk

ChesterGreySideboard · 06/01/2019 20:29

The problem is that CDM will have had the largest number of votes because there is no obvious alternative. There is lot of better bars of chocolate but not one single one that the majority will vote for.

Pissflapflip · 06/01/2019 20:29

Well it seems a lot better than the shitty no sugar one I've had to resort to tonight as kids asleep and nothing in, but usually I would agree. Do not like M&S or Thorntons either though, trot on with that!

ChesterGreySideboard · 06/01/2019 20:30

Ok Delboy!

Spieluhr · 06/01/2019 20:30

Sorry, who makes Green and Blacks again? I didn't catch that.

I still eat Cadburys but it isn't nearly as lovely as it used to be. The giant chocolate buttons are pretty good though.

delboysskinandblister · 06/01/2019 20:30

sorry reported self. Dodgy RJ45 cable. [embarrassed]

EL2019 · 06/01/2019 20:31

There was a programme on BBC last year all about how wonderful Cadbury's was and how even though it had been bought by Kraft the chocolate tasted just as good as ever. It was essentially an hour's advert for Cadbury on the BBC. And the last part basically lies.

They're PR team must be really good. Shame the chocolate tastes so dreadful now.

RedForShort · 06/01/2019 20:31

Ard you trying to cheat delboysskinandblister. One vote per poster!! 😁

pineapplebryanbrown · 06/01/2019 20:32

Are you insane? Dairy milk is delicious and Galaxy is disgusting. Galaxy is so disgusting i almost wouldn't eat it. Green and Black also disgusting. Now Ritter Sport and Toblerone are delicious.

I know my chocolate!
