DH is about to go to ALDI and asked if I want any treats. I said I'll have a think and text a list to him.

What are your yummiest ALDI buys?

The duck and orange pate is lovely. We like their specialty pizzas too, the big oval ones.

piefacedClique · 06/01/2019 19:31

Passion fruit flavour skyr yoghurt

patsycrime · 06/01/2019 19:39

The Gin Truffles are nice - and currently in the sale Smile

StrawberryFizz26 · 06/01/2019 19:42

The mini salted caramel dessert. It's so nice!

altiara · 06/01/2019 19:59

I bought a croquembouche kit for £2.99 yesterday! Amazing!

Shesellsseashellsontheseashore · 06/01/2019 20:29

Not food but toiletries. Their version of original source shower gels. Less than £1 , the juicy mango one smells lovely! Husband likes the mint and tea tree one. Also love the smell of the Abbott and broome(?) Rhubarb and rose handwash. Something like 89p a bottle I think?

coldcoldcoldcold · 06/01/2019 20:41

@OutPinked where is this spinach flatbread that you speak of? I've not seen it in mine and it sounds delicious!

ChesterGreySideboard · 06/01/2019 21:14

norpak spreadable butter is much cheaper then lurpak, and both 64% butter.

Just buy real butter and keep it in a butter dish out of the fridge. It won’t go off.

Smeeeeeee · 06/01/2019 21:51

Isn't real butter more expensive?

dontknowwhattodo80 · 06/01/2019 22:03

Apple strudel
Fresh vanilla custard ( apparently it's the luxury ambrosia)
Knock off twix/mars
Tear n share brioche

PearlandRubies194 · 06/01/2019 22:05

I know your DH has been and come home hours since this post but ... yum, their chocolate beats bigger brands imo. Also, their pink fabric conditioner is lovely!

ChesterGreySideboard · 06/01/2019 22:18

No. Real butter, just your regular salted own brand butter is usually cheaper.
Mine stayed on the side in the kitchen even over this hot summer and it didn’t go off.

Gth1234 · 06/01/2019 22:18

Butter isn't the cost. It's a pain to have hard butter in winter, so we have spreadable in the winter, Generally lurpak, but then found norpak is at least 1/3 cheaper.

As someone just mention the duck pate. I love the 1.19 pates. 2 small pack inside what looks like a single large pack, very good pate.

MsMightyTitanAndHerTroubadours · 06/01/2019 22:25

oh no! NORPAK is vile....it made ds2 cry :o Admittedly it was years back and i guess they may have improved it

he is a real butter snob, has been since he was tiny and I bought some since I was spending the equivalent of the National Debt on Lurpak

He'd have been about 6 and made himself toast, buttered with Norpak and begged me, with tears in his eyes, not to buy it again "it's not nice mummy"

Gotstuckwiththisname · 06/01/2019 22:34

Haha I find Norpak is divisive. My family love it, but my DM hates it. I think it's just like Lurpak, personally.

CombineBananaFister · 06/01/2019 22:35

Haha that made me laugh MsMighty Grin my DS is also a butter snob and often asks for 'not that pretend butter please, mummy'
Their Monster Claw crisps are better than the real ones and halloumi fries are just amazing.

libertywoo · 06/01/2019 22:42

Sea salt and lime tortilla crisps, we had these with drinks last night, so good.
The brownie and marshmallow bomb thingies, I look forward to one with my afternoon cup of tea, or the gingerbread with orange, that’s lovely too.

Ariela · 06/01/2019 22:47

We hack a lump of butter off, microwave for 10-20 secs and it's fine.

Daughter likes the mini pork pies, and the hog roast sausage rolls.
I like the white chocolate and raspberry ice cream on a stick.

nandaandm · 06/01/2019 22:50

Sticky toffee pudding in the chilled section. Better than M & S !

spidereye · 06/01/2019 23:12

Dominion chocolate eclairs (so much nicer than Cadbury's)

SneakyGremlins · 06/01/2019 23:14

I'm going to take this thread to Aldi next week.

GlitterStick · 06/01/2019 23:20

Groovy Bars!!! Sorry, I keep revisiting this thread and seeing things I've forgotten lol.
Yes, they're amazing.
Kind of a biscuit caramel smarties thing going on.
Damn this thread Grin

Yearofthemum · 06/01/2019 23:30

The sherry.

Giraffey1 · 06/01/2019 23:38

The Jo Malone style candles are lovely. Burn well and a strong fragrance which is handy in a two [farting] dog household!

SynchroSwimmer · 07/01/2019 00:23

Duck with pancakes
Licquorice jelly sweets
Parmesan
Gorgonzola
Ginger yogurt
Fat free greek style yogurt
Amaretto (marinade with strawberries)
