DH is about to go to ALDI and asked if I want any treats. I said I'll have a think and text a list to him.

What are your yummiest ALDI buys?

The caviar day and night cream, chocolate oaties - so calorific but so good!, hot smoked salmon fillets, the frozen lentils with tahini mix, Irish rubarb yogurts, their nappies are great - really cheap and supposedly the most environmentally friendly disposables, wipes, baby rice cakes and biscuits are cheap.

Probably too late for your DH's trip today, but next time - yesterday I bought some venison, chestnut and cranberry pate. Oh boy. Had it on thick sliced toasted white bread(*) with lots of butter too.

• For DP it was Aldi thick cut bloomer, which is also delish (he says). Unfortunately I'm coeliac so can't join him.

Their frozen macaroni cheese is 79p and delicious! As good as the fresh macintosh brand that’s over £2 for the same size!

We also like their raw fruit bars.

Dairyfine chocolate buttons are the mutts nuts.
Skyr vanilla in the individual pots.
Lacura eye cream.
Pain au chocolat.

I usually make my own halloumi fries

Me too, have a block in the fridge in anticipation of the faff . Wish I'd seen this thread before we went for a shop!

@sulflower I buy the chilli halloumi out of Tesco or lidl. The halloumi fries from that are to die for, a bit of sweet chilli sauce or garlic mayo. Yummy 😋 I

Obviously I'm too late now but they have incredible cocoa dusted chocolate truffles for £2.99 at Christmas (amazing value IMO) and at the monent they are reduced to 99p! Ive stocked up

the bread in the brown paper wrapper....really thick slices! All three types are really good. they have tiger, bloomer and granary. I prefer the granary one, but according to dh they never have that in when he goes....nothing to do with the fact he thinks brown bread is made by demons.

Their 0%greek yogurt. Better than fage, Waitrose, m&s etc and only £1.35

I love Aldi.

My kids love the Torchon ham. I also buy pastrami trimmings.
ALL their cold meats and cheeses are good quality.

Their steaks are good, kids like their gammon joints, even processed items like the 'special' chipolatas are high quality.

Frozen cauli cheese and rice/lentil mixes for a quick supper.

But for 'treats' it is their plain hazelnut chocolate, Christmas items, and knock off jo malone sprays/creams/candles that i love.

NHS says
"There's some evidence that regularly drinking more than two units of alcohol a day while breastfeeding may affect your baby's development. But an occasional drink is unlikely to harm your breastfed baby.

It's recommended that breastfeeding mothershave no more thanone ortwo units of alcohol once or twice a week."

So the odd glass of wine is fine, but no bingeing a bottle of voddy sorry you found out too late for Christmas!

They had Potted Cheddar in little Kilner type jars just before Christmas. It was awesome.

chilled coffee drinks are far cheaper than brands
fizzy drinks
fizzy water,
norpak spreadable butter is much cheaper then lurpak, and both 64% butter.
Bramwell mayo and sauces

we don't like any of their bread, and rarely buy their uncooked meat.

Big bag of onion rings for something like 65p and also frozen honey roast parsnips are delicious.

Cereals are good.
Benefit is like special K
The muesli and porridge are very good.
Yogurts are Ok, but you often get mullers on offer elsewhere.

I said I don't like their bread. Someone else mentioned the thick sliced ones - not tried those - I like the similar thing from Iceland, so I will try those.

Went in yesterday and they were also selling off all the Christmas nibbles so anyone not yet sick of the sight of them over Christmas can pig out on really cheap pannetone and stollen bites

Op I'm EBF and my dr mate says it's fine to have a drink (as seen in evidence above!)
I've only just started properly shopping at Aldi but so far love

• their blueberry wheats cereal
• their lunch veg pots (vegan and so flavoursome)
• their chicken fajita cooking kit is lovely
• their sweet potato slices done in the Airfryer
• nappies and wipes
• their Malbec and champagne

And yes Norpak

I need to try this norpak. What's so good about it?

Lurpak quality but lower price.

Everything except bread and shampoo. I especially love the hot cloth face cleanser
