I have felt stressed with life lately, so I decided to do something positive with my free time rather than sit around moping. I work full time, and thought the volunteering would be good to do at weekends.
I applied for a volunteer position, for a charity I've long been interested in. I went to meet the manager, and he asked me lots of questions about my current job, and if I wanted a career change. I felt this was odd to ask, as the volunteering would be on weekends and lots of people do this on the side while having very different careers, but I was honest and said in the future I would like to work in the sector as I'm very interested in it, etc etc.
I then looked him up on social media, and we have mutual friends, including past and present colleagues of mine. I'm worried he has also made the connection, and that's why he was digging, and he's now going to tell these people I hate my job and want another one? He is quite good friends with one of them
