What is the point of having threads in classics (or elsewhere) when they are full of holes with 'Message withdrawn at poster's request.'in??

OP posts:

It could be that the posters have had their posts deleted after it had gone into classics. Nothing can be done about big holes in the thread if that's the case.

Shockers · 06/01/2019 13:34

Is it perhaps when a poster has left mn and asked for posts to be deleted?

I almost didn’t click on this thread because the title suggests that the OP has asked for it to be withdrawn.

MyArris · 06/01/2019 13:35

A good portion of classics are unreadable due to this. Best not to bother going down that wormhole.

You have to be one of the in crowd to get this special treatment, I think.

There have been some hacking scandals over the years - after each one some MNers not only deleted their accounts but requested that everything they'd ever posted be deleted too.

WhatsUpHun · 06/01/2019 13:53

Maybe mn could change usernames instead of removing the posts?

Poster: removed

I also thought it was people who had deleted accounts and you can see the same username across boards with every single post deleted.
It is annoying but 🤷🏻‍♀️
