Hi
so I have my baby shower coming up next week, I am 35 weeks pregnant 5 foot 7 pre pregnancy weight 10 stone ish (size 12), now 11 stone ish .

I would really like to look nice for my baby shower however I am struggling to find something !

Ideally I would like to wear a dress or jumpsuit.
I find h&m is just tops
new look maternity doesn't even seem maternity
boo hoo again tiny
seraphine overpriced

I have 6 weeks left so don't want to spend lots
I have tried ebay sphock etc
wondered if anyone has any links to any nice outfits they have wore whilst pregnant for a special occasion

I have tried non maternity clothes that are stretchy but just look fat not pregnant
please help ! x

Dorothy Perkins have some nice stuff in, and reasonable priced in the sale: m.dorothyperkins.com/search/?currentPage=2&q=Maternity+dress&sort=Price%2520Ascending

Have you tried ASOS? I went to a couple of weddings when pregnant and had dresses from there that fit really nicely.

Katiet123 · 05/01/2019 18:07

Asos have nice ones usually

AgathaMisty · 05/01/2019 18:11

I agree with ASOS. I always see nice maternity dresses on there that I'd love to buy if they came in non-maternity size!

Thesmallthings · 05/01/2019 18:12

Why not just try a size up in non maternity clothes? It be cheaper to.

MillieMoodle · 05/01/2019 18:29

I found Debenhams really good for maternity stuff.

CrazyOldBagLady · 05/01/2019 18:31

Envie de fraise usually have some nice dresses and they do free returns.

soundsystem · 05/01/2019 18:33

Another vote for ASOS. I got a few nice things from them when I was heavily pregnant for events.

NewishMum85 · 05/01/2019 18:35

I know you said Seraphine is overpriced, but I don't think it's bad value if you wait until they have a sale on and get something that can be used for breastfeeding post pregnancy too. They have a big sale on at the moment.

SoyDora · 05/01/2019 18:39

Vote for ASOS here too, I’ve bought many maternity wedding guest outfits from there.

AutumnGlitterBall · 05/01/2019 18:48

Tiffany Rose on eBay? I’ve just bought a dress from the website for two weddings this year but they seem to have good resale prices on eBay so you’d get your money back afterwards.

Bennyismydog · 05/01/2019 18:53

There’s are some nice maternity dressed on this site and there’s also a sale on at the moment.

Seraphine has a winter sale on at the mo and as a PP said many of their styles are also designed for breastfeeding. Resale value on eBay or Facebook is often decent.

EmUntitled · 05/01/2019 18:55

I got all my maternity stuff from Jojo Maman bebe. Its pricey but they have a sale at the moment.

SeraphinaDombegh · 05/01/2019 19:07

Try searching eBay for Isabella Oliver dresses. I had one which was comfy and stretchy but also v elegant. There are some lovely maternity dresses out there!

gruber · 05/01/2019 19:14

Frugi do lovely dresses, most are bump to breastfeeding if that makes a difference & they sell on really well. Super quality and ethically made too. www.welovefrugi.com/maternity/view-all

littlecabbage · 05/01/2019 19:16

Mamalicious does nice stuff.

pearlypick · 05/01/2019 19:16

first world problems ... for a baby shower! not even Liz Taylor on the red carpet Smile. I wouldn't worry OP, most pregnant women look fab.

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 05/01/2019 19:17

I agree Jojo Maman Bebe is great.

Fraula · 05/01/2019 19:20

I hated asos stuff as it didn't fit.

Empire line dresses sometimes work well?

GrapesAndCheese · 05/01/2019 19:21

I wore a dress from ASOS too OP.
Topshop also have a maternity section.

curlii103 · 05/01/2019 19:22

Jojo without a doubt. Try a pre loved Facebook group if you don't want to pay full price or their clothes do have good 're sale value if you want to think of it that way

LittleScottieDog · 05/01/2019 19:48

I wore this for my baby party:

www.wantthattrend.com/katie-piper-maternity-nadine-3-4-sleeve-wrap-skater-dress/?gclid=CjwKCAiAyMHhBRBIEiwAkGN6fESL9ouDwEn5MCu_foiBgej-r8RXUjfQOV1hfj7dMcHz_1I_b-RVWBoCEwsQAvD_BwE

Really nice, am hoping to wear it to any events now I'm nursing as the crossover allows for nursing. I just need someone to have a party now!

Hopeful16 · 05/01/2019 19:57

Was just coming on to suggest Katie Piper's range- I want that trend. Some of it is available through Next too. I bought a couple of her dresses and they were fab quality and were only £25 ish.

BeanTownNancy · 05/01/2019 20:51

Just looking at ASOS... Some lovely dresses!

But...
Who decided a maternity jumpsuit was a good idea?! I'd be having to get naked every 10 minutes to pee. 😂
