What does your evening/morning consist of? Curious how other people spend their time!

I normally head to bed anytime between midnight and 1am, usually asleep by 2 at the latest, unless I have insomnia when it can take me until 3am.

mornings if left to my own devices, I wake about 8.30-9 and wallow in my pit for a bit listening to my radio and waking up properly before getting up/washed/dressed for about 10am. (every night includes several disturbances from DS who has ASD)

School mornings i'm up at 7am.

CheekyNandosForMe · 05/01/2019 03:21

Currently, like tonight, I'm laying here next to my sleeping partner, alternating between reading on my Kindle, reading mumsnet, crocheting while I watch eastenders on catch up his the iPad with headphones in.

Then I drop off just before he's up. Then I wake back up for the school run. Then it depends what happening, ie one is back and one goes back mon. Often stay in at home in the day, pottering about and watching catch up, herding kids. In the evenings, it's a mix of cooking tea, clearing up, catch up or reading, or watching Netflix with my OH. We are waiting for some Xbox games so we can play together.

I go out gaming twice a week in the evening. Other than what I've written, there's not a lot else.

sofato5miles · 05/01/2019 05:10

Sleep at 9.30/10. Up by 6am.

Orangedaisy · 05/01/2019 05:20

Sleep by 9.30;/10. Up probably 2 and 5 am to feed 22mo (attempts to night wean/sleep train have failed). Up between 6 and 6.45 depending if it’s a work day, 7 at weekends when’s 4yo up without fail. I’m permanently exhausted.

SuzieAndBess · 05/01/2019 05:21

Before I had a baby 9:30-5:30, with lay in on the weekend. Now 11:00-4:00 and then 4:00-10:00.
Obviously not today though as she’s been up since 3!

Loveweekends10 · 05/01/2019 05:25

Normally asleep by 9.30. But sometimes wake at 3.30am 😩. I read , have a cuppa then generally fall back to sleep. Get up for work 6.30 am weekdays ( except when work from home).
Last night went to sleep 8.30 just woke now ( travelled back from hols so buggered).

ThisIsNotARealAvo · 05/01/2019 05:38

In term time, I try to be asleep by about 10 because I need to wake up at 5. In the holidays it's more like 11-8.

BalloonDinosaur · 05/01/2019 05:55

Same as PP, depends if I'm on days, nights or rest days.

Day shifts I try to be in bed by 10pm, and I'm up at 4:50-5am. Straight up, in shower, dressed and off to work.

Nights, if DP isn't at work that day, I go to bed as soon as I get home (6:30am ish), sleep for a few hours and then get up to spend some time with DS and eat before work again.

If DP is working and the DS is awake, I stay up with him until my DM arrives to babysit so I can get a few hours.

If I'm off I get up when DS does (anywhere between 6 and 8)

Woohoo1 · 05/01/2019 06:17

Sleep by 9 up at 6. Any less and I’m grumpy

todayiwin · 05/01/2019 06:46

9pm up at 5:30am

nippey · 05/01/2019 07:05

I’ll be in bed at 9 most nights, asleep by 930/10 and up at 5 for work or 530 if I’m doing the nursery run. I do this at the weekend as well as I find if I don’t keep it consistent I really struggle with tiredness!

snowone · 05/01/2019 07:09

Normally 10/10.30 until 6.30ish, maybe a bit longer if DD (4) sleeps in for a bit

Gizlotsmum · 05/01/2019 07:16

Bed 10/10:30 sometimes later. Work days up at 5:45, none work days woken by children around 6. However not sleeping well at the moment so may try a few early nights

finn1020 · 05/01/2019 07:19

Asleep by 1030, up by 6am. Try and go to gym a few days a week at 610am, home by 715am, kids at school and me at work by 9am.

Sierra259 · 05/01/2019 07:24

Usually in bed by 11. Up at 6.15-6.30 on work days and by 7 on my days off to get everyone ready for school run. Weekends depends what time the DC (6&3) are up, usually between 6.30 and 7, though we have a TV in our room and on Saturday/Sunday let them watch Netflix for a bit so we can doze a while.

Allyg1185 · 05/01/2019 07:33

Go to bed about 10/10.30pm usually asleep within the hour. Up at 7am everyday of the weekend. One day of the weekend I have my lie in so up at 9am

DaffydownClock · 05/01/2019 09:52

Usually asleep by 9.30, awake about 5am, doze or give up by 7am.
Last night asleep at 7pm, woke up at 6.30.
I generally need 9-10 hours sleep.

nokidshere · 05/01/2019 10:27

I generally go to bed between 12-1 am and am up at 6:30 on school days, if I don't have to be up for anything I wake naturally about 8:30. However, I wake multiple times in the night sometimes for an hour or more so my average nights sleep is around 4 and a half hours.

VioletCharlotte · 05/01/2019 10:29

I got to bed about 10, normally asleep by 10.30. During the week My alarm goes off at 6.10, get up at 6.30.

thegreylady · 05/01/2019 10:31

Go to bed about 10/10.30 read till about 11.30/12.00 then wake properly around 7 and get up any time between 8.30 and 10. We are retired so no pressures of work or young children.

Darkestnight · 05/01/2019 10:52

On the evenings I work bed is 11.30pm as get in at 10.30pm and evenings I don't work in bed at 12am and up at 5.30am weekdays 8am weekends

isthistoonosy · 05/01/2019 16:11

In bed around 2300, asleep before midnight, up at 5am. Except one weekend night when I'm normally up until 1am and wake at 8am.

Evenings, kids in bed around 19:00 then I go for a walk and do some studying until 20:30, then watch tv or occasionally read until I'm tired.

Morning, get kids up, have breakfast, get cars ready, get out dinner (to defrost), put dogs out (they have a big heated shed and fenced garden area for the daytimes), drive to nursery, school, work.
