eBay mishap

I decided to use my Christmas money to buy a swishy hair styler brush thingy. Package arrived today.

It wasn't a swishy hair styler brush thingy. It was a bundle of dog toys. Including a rope carrot.

I don't have a dog.

My aunt once ordered flea spray from Amazon, and received a bottle of Calvin Klein perfume (which she was allowed to keep).

I wonder if "my" hairbrush/ dog carrot seller is a drop shipper, as things have just taken an odd turn..: I finally got a reply from my message to them, which denied all knowledge of the dog toys. So I double checked the tracking reference number and it's definitely the same. I have sent a photo of the packaging, and await their next response!

Not Amazon, but I once ordered a toddler size duvet from John Lewis and picked up at my local Waitrose right after they started offering that. Got home with my parcel box and found they had sent me 4 duvets, all boxed, and shrink wrapped together like they’d have been probably if sent to the shop. I called JL customer service who apologised and said to keep them! I didn’t need all 4 so gave three of them to willing friends with small children! Smile

I won an auction for what I thought was a highboard. Too late I realised that the dimensions given were in cm and not inches. It would be great for standing a television on. If I had a television Grin

Actually, it's bloody nice, wasn't flat packed and was under thirty quid, and arrived within three days. From Germany. I am contemplating buying a television as I like it so much Grin

I was ordering raspberries for crumble and managed to order one (1) single raspberry.

So, "my" seller is as baffled as me by the hair brush / dog toy switch (they don't sell dog toys, or own a dog, but agree that the photo looks like their Jiffy bag)... I have requested that they refund me, and take it up with Hermes.

TBH I'm a bit frustrated that I've had to ask. The whole conversation has been like pulling teeth. "I don't have a dog". "Neither do I". So that's both our pet-owning choices clarified, then. But I seem to be no nearer getting the item I paid for.

I wonder if the universe is telling me I don't need to spend £15 on a fancy hair brush. But I want swishy hair!

Love the single raspberry, Sneaky - was it a supermarket order? Is that what they sent? How did they package it?

Indeed I would like to know how a single raspberry was packaged?! Hopefully this has now been sorted and you have yr swishy hairbrush OP?
