Uber eats order wrong address!

Ive just placed an order for £35 on uber eats, It says it was delivered however obviously it hasnt been, Ive gone on and checked and its been delivered to a road near by! I have no idea how this address was put on my phone and when I ordered it said my address (they accepted it and are probably eating it now!) HAs this ever happened to anyone?! where do I stand with getting my money back, aibu to be surprised they have accepted it! surely they should have declined as its not their order, Ive now lost £35.

I'd start by contacting Uber Eats. 🙄

I have! but no reply, just wondered if it happened to anyone else as obviously im now worried ive lost out on £35! Whilst I await for a reply thought I would ask if thats ok with you.. 🙄

What address does your order confirmation have on it, yours or the address it has gone to?

Cant seem to find it anymore, it only says delivered but it was to a road near mine. Hasnt come here.

You'll need the confirmation to prove you ordered it to the right address.

Again check the address on the order sometimes it sync with the maps of your phone aN gives that address but you would normally notice that before ordering
They probably won't do anything they have terrible customer service unfortunately

Hmm well thats £35 down the toilet then, why even accept an order if you didnt order it Confused I cant seem to find the address anymore think its because its been “delivered”

You should have a confirmation email and you can also see all of your orders online in your account.

Ive just checked and yes it says the address it was delivered to, No idea how that changed since I wouldnt have put that in myself?! and no one else has access to my phone.

I'm interested in this as we regularly get uber-type delivery people calling here instead of round the corner, same house number but different street name and post code. When I complained to Uber they blamed Google maps, but I've seen the receipt with the takeaway and the details were correct for the buyer, the delivery man just got it wrong/couldn't be bothered to get it right. So nearly every week, about 10pm, we get woken by the door - those people eat a lot of take-aways. So far we haven't accepted the food but it would be tempting if it smelled nicer, as compensation for being disturbed so often. Perhaps that's what happened to yours?

Go to the address and ask if they've accidentally taken deliver of your order.

I've just checked my old orders and OP is correct, the address doesn't seem to show up even when you click view receipt. I don't know about emails as I don't think they've ever sent me one Confused

We get other people's Uber Eats all the time; I think because we're the first big house on the street and the centre of the postcode is next door?

I always just check the address and tell them which way to go.

It was
delivered about 40 mins ago now
so has probably been eaten, I dont think they will admit it, I have sick children hence why I ordered online so will be a pain dragging them out its not on my road seems its a fee streets away.

Yes it wasnt showing up the address at all. I only noticed it when I clicked on to do a new delivery then checked the address it would come to which wasnt mine and one ive never put inConfused

Just ask you bank to dispute it, you willl probably get your money back

Can you not open a query/complaint when you go back through your orders on your account? I used to do this all the time with McDonalds because half the bloody order would always be missing. It gave me the option to select what was missing from the order, then within about 10 minutes I'd be refunded for it.

Obviously in your case you can just select everything as missing!

Doesn't it automatically select your address by your GPS location unless you edit it manually? That's probably what happened. :(

Agh I think thats probably what happened, weird. Since ordered before and never had this issue! So it must have changed itself some how.
Ive messaged but awaiting a reply.
I ordered carribean food was
looking forward to it aswell since I havent eaten all day!

Someone else is obviously enjoying it though Shock

I always pay by PayPal so on the rare occasion there's a dispute I know it will be resolved easily m

I'd bang on every door until you find it and force them to feed you like a mother bird.

... otherwise its cheesy beans on toast until your refund comes through.
