To be so disappointed??

Bit of a pointless post but I've been going through such a hard time recently, my (only) friend got me all enthusiastic about going for a drink this coming Saturday, which is so rare for me. I've been so excited all week and now - 2/3 days before - she's got all these excuses about why she might not be able to go. They're all fairly valid to be fair, but I'm just really disappointed and really needed it Sad

YANBU that's shit, I've been there an I sympathise. Make it a night for yourself though, bottle of wine, nice bath and maybe treat yourself to a film you haven't seen or something similar it was always a new ps4 game in my case Smile

Does she know how you feel?

Sometimes if I'm being indecisive about going to a social thing I'll be swayed to go if the other person needs it. It's kind of like it's a different thing IYSWIM. One is just social the other falls into the support/friendship bracket.

@Houseonahill thank you. It's just one of those things I guess and I have to suck it up.

@MiconiumHappens I've kind of jokingly light-heartedly pestered her to fix the problems she's having (she's lost her ID is one of them and looks very young), but might just come out and say outright how much I needed to go out so to try as best she can to sort stuff! Grin

It's been the only thing cheering me up - having something to look forward to!

Oh that's sad but unfortunately life is full of such disappointments, plans fall apart, circumstances change. It's not about you, could be anyone. You'll go out soon enough so don't fret. A lot of us go through phases of a dry social life so you're not alone.
