My friend has just started selling this and im trying to kindly not crush her expectation of quitting her full time job and earning ££££. I have tried to just be supportive but sick of the sales pitches and messages every time i see her!!! Can i just tell her to piss off!!?

in the nicest possible way, yes you can, that would do my head in tbh.

CoperCabana · 02/01/2019 22:36

Yes tell her to piss off. I have snoozed all the hons on my news feed. Having said that, I think one is genuinely making a decent amount of cash. But being the type of woman to buy toiletries and make up from Wilkos, she has nothing to gain from me!

Girlicorne · 02/01/2019 22:53

Over 99% of people in mlm scams lose money. Its all smoke and mirrors @CoperCabana it is highly unlikely your friend is making any money at all. They all lie about it to encourage vulnerable women to 'join my team hun'!!! On the 'money matters' section here there is a long running thread I think on part 45!!! Lots of great links as well.

Steer clear until she comes to her senses.

Take a look here and search for Arbonne:

It's an eye opener and try to show your friend too.

Sparklesocks · 02/01/2019 23:22

You could just say you’re not interested in any of the products until she gets the hint, and if she doesn’t, gently but firmly explain you have already said you aren’t interested and feel a bit uncomfortable with your friendship becoming a sales pitch. If she’s a decent mate she will back off.

DropZoneOne · 02/01/2019 23:27

She will lose money, and if she carries on for too long, a load of friends too. I've just unfollowed a friend of 10 years on Facebook because the arbonne selling has ramped up to almost daily.

Best thing you can do is not buy a thing. Otherwise she'll be misled into thinking her friends will buy enough to generate an income.

NeverTwerkNaked · 02/01/2019 23:28

Arbonne is ghastly. She will have invested a heart breaking amount of money. I lost a friend because I tried, too late, to warn her off it. But I don’t regret trying. She was lovely, she deserved people to try and stop her falling into the trap.

I have seen that blog before i am going to send her the link. Last time i saw her it was £250 but apparantly worth it as she got so many products. Yes but overpriced products!!! It makes me laugh as she puts a status on then loads of random people start comment who are literally only friends with her. I thought she would have a lot more common sense than this.

How’s the friend getting on, has she come to her senses yet or is she fully botted?
