Yes I made a friend through Mumsnet. She was offering a bag of baby clothes to anyone local who wanted them. We met up, I really liked her (and,I presume, she me) and we're friends ever since - 7 years now.

Yes! Ever since I joined the feminism boards, I've met many Mumsnetters at women's events such as "Women's Place" and "We need to talk". Mumsnet usually gets a shout out and cheer at these events. It's great!

I did, over eleven years ago, from mumsnet. She was awful and bullied a few of us younger and weaker ones for ages. Befriending her was a massive mistake.

I have other friends I've met through various online things. It doesn't have to be shit. But I've discovered the better friends I've ever had have been met places we share hobbies or music tastes etc. Also met my OH on POF.

What’s POF?

Yes. There were a bunch of us turning up on each other’s threads a few years back as we were all splitting with XH’s around the same time for various reasons.

We ended up taking it over to Facebook to ‘meet’ in a private group, which led to meeting in real life. We don’t see each other often but keep in touch on FB, especially about relationship drama! I would count them amongst my closest friends, we know each other so well, even though we’ve only met a handful of times in person.
