Tooth fairy

Ds lost his first tooth on Christmas Eve, due to how busy and chaotic Christmas is, we waited to put it under his pillow. Last night he stayed at Grannies and before he left he wanted to show her his tooth. Woke up to DH telling me the tooth fairy had visited Grannies house. I’m so upset as I wanted to see his little face when the tooth fairy came for the first time. DH doesn’t see the big deal as “he has a lot of teeth”. I know it’s not the end of the world but I am absolutely gutted 😢

If it’s such a big deal to you, why did you wait? Surely the tooth fairy always just comes the next day? Yabu to make your ds wait nearly a week. Granny probably felt sorry for him or that you couldn’t be arsed.

Sorry but you shouldn’t have made him wait. Tooth fairies always come on the same night here.

Next time don’t make him wait & then you can enjoy it with him.

Agreed, why did you wait?! Confused should have just done it xmas eve.

HotInWinter · 31/12/2018 07:08

Tooth fairy and Santa came the same night here.

You'd left it nearly a week! Far too long. Next tooth, tooth fairy comes the night the tooth is lost - suggest finding a shiny join of whatever denomination she uses, and put it to one side now. Nothing more frustrating than suddenly needing change!!

Yip should have been done same night or next at latest. Its almost a week later.
My 6 yo first tooth fell out at 10pm last night cue scramble to find cash. Was almost walking to late night garage but dipped into xmas money which i will secretly replace today. No way would i have left it.

I’d be disappointed too OP but not sure why you waited?

We’ve often had the tooth fairy visit at Christmas, she always has a tea party with our elf when she does Grin We’ve never seen her but there’s always fairy dust sprinkled where she was sitting, next to her empty tea cup WinkGrin

As above, nearly a week to wait is too long and doesn't sound like you were that bothered until Granny stepped in to fix it.

Wonder if that's the real issue rather than missing your DS's reaction?
