AIBU to be gutted by my Twin Peaks experience?

MIL put three Twin Peaks bars in our Christmas hamper. I assumed they were Lidl/Aldi's version of a Toblerone (are they?). Next morning MIL says did we see them in our hamper? Are we excited to try them? They're BETTER than Toblerone.

Then the hype is everywhere. Keep reading online about how they're better than Toblerone. Friends and family all say 'ooh yes, they're better than Toblerone'.

We have just opened one. Can categorically say they are not better than a Toblerone.

I'm gutted! To be fair we'd hyped them up a bit in our minds, but still...

Are they the pound shop ones? I think aldi fake Toblerones are nicer than the real thing.

Sorry but I completely disagree. They are much better than Toblerone in my experience. The white one is incredible.

Whoa, whoa, whoa there's a white one? We had a milk but the nougat is so below par. There's not a hint of chew.

There is most certainly a white one. See I prefer the chunk to the chew overall...maybe that’s why we don’t agree. I asked for Twin Peaks from my Secret Santa but they got me Toblerone Xmas Sad

I wasn’t expecting much though first time I tried Twin Peaks, I think the hype has done you no favours.

Gonna try the Aldi one now too lol

I put one in DH's Xmas stocking, he hoovered it up in under 12 hours (including sleeping overnight!), personal best- he's not yet stopped telling me how nice it was. I didn't even get to try one segment Envy

@ShadyLady53 I can see where you're coming from if chunk is your thing. I've just had a proper google, they're from Poundland. I want to try the Aldi one now too. In the name of research, obvs.

Yep they are definitely from Poundland and frequently sell out. The white one is at least worth a try.
