Because husband ill? We were both invited to a relatively small dinner party. I don't really know anyone else, but worry if I don't go alone it will look really bad. Had felt lovely to be invited to it (haven't ever before), but I suffer from anxiety & going as part of a pair had provided more reassurance than I realised.

I would say if he’s ill then they will understand. Out of interest what is wrong with him? If it’s a stomach bug then I wouldn’t want you there either tbh sorry

I think people would understand - there's a lot of it going around atm. But I bet you'd have fun and surprise yourself. I went to a party recently - was not looking forward to it - I knew no one but I really enjoyed it, sometimes doing something that makes you feel uncomfortable does you good.
