I have a corner cupboard in the kitchen (base unit) with 2 shelves. We rent so I can't install a proper cupboard with magic shelves things.

Top shelf houses all crockery (including my 'best' plates at the very back) as they won't fit in any other cupboard. They seem to take up loads of space.

The bottom shelf has bake ware (cake tins, loaf tins, etc) at the back and every day pans and oven dishes at the front.

I bake quiet often and getting the tins out is a nightmare of crashing pans and lids etc. I can barely get my head in to see anything so it a case of feel for it, pull and hope for the best.

Does anyone have any ingenious ideas about freeing up crockery space and being more easily able to get to everything in the cupboard?

I think I could temporarily remove the shelf if necessary and just reinstall it when we move out, I just can't do any major reconstruction work of the units IYSWIM.

TIA!

A cheap workable solution would be a couple of unlidded plastic storage boxes to put the baking trays in. Measure the cupboard to get the right size of box. You can turn easily lift out the storage box at the ‘front’ and pull the inside box out to get whatever you need.

rack

Can you put something like this in the cupboard. Square one are also available.

@FadedRed - That's a good idea, however, I don't think (due to the very tight angle) that I could pull a box out without having to remove all the pans at the front Sad

Petalflowers - this looks great for my crockery issues! Thank you!

Can you get one of the racks suggested above, turn it vertical and put your baking trays in it?

@fuckwitseverywhere (great name btw!) that's a pretty good idea - they take up the most room and do the most crashing!
