“Need gone” when selling something.

Stop it. Not least because it’s grammatically incorrect.

MinisterforCheekyFuckery · 29/12/2018 14:29

Date night (boak)
Making memories (double boak)
Living my best life
Call out
Reach out
Hubby/Hubs/Hubster
Hollibobs

Cauliflowersqueeze · 29/12/2018 14:30

Saying “because” and then missing out the rest of the sentence and putting one word.

Because Christmas

Because revision

Because hungry

Because tired

It’s annoying

Eve · 29/12/2018 14:32

Snowflake - aka - I can post something as offensive as i like and if you call me out on it I can offer this as a patronising put down as I don’t have the intelligence to enter a reasoned discussion!

LadyRochfordsHoickedGusset · 29/12/2018 14:42

"Bantz"

"It is what it is".

lillighters85 · 29/12/2018 14:43

Boak

FlippinNora1 · 29/12/2018 14:44

Ducks in a row even infiltrated the recent Agatha Christie ABC Murders. I can’t believe that phrase was used in the original and it stuck out (to me anyway) like a sore thumb. I think Sarah Phelps must be a Mumsnetter!

Anyone know if it was in the original book?

LiveSleepSnore · 29/12/2018 14:44

Sorry but I agree with binning boak.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 29/12/2018 14:44

"Head to" instead of "go to" or "head for".

I don't know why it does, but that particular usage irritates me.

LiveSleepSnore · 29/12/2018 14:45

But I'd like to keep hubster!

Mercurial123 · 29/12/2018 14:45

Could of/Would of

ikltownofboothlehem · 29/12/2018 14:49

Apparently ducks in a row has been around since at least 1932 (some variations are even earlier) but I'm not sure it was in the original book.

JudgeRindersMinder · 29/12/2018 14:52

We’re pregnant.

Unless it’s a female/female couple and both are pregnant, it’s a biological impossibly for your male partner to be pregnant

Thurmanmurman · 29/12/2018 14:54

Mind. Blown.
Snowflake
Wow, just wow
Date Night (vom)
Living my best life

Just a few of my most hated but then I do use proper granny phrases so what do I know!

SoSobored · 29/12/2018 14:55

The term "snowflake" - if you find anything offensive then you get called it. I'm sorry that I don't like racism, misogyny, gender inequality, poverty. God is gives me the rage!! (A phrase I do love)

Twowaystreet · 29/12/2018 15:00

Howling - I really hate this
Da

Twowaystreet · 29/12/2018 15:01

Angry
RedLife · 29/12/2018 15:02

Wow, just wow. This irritating phrase needs to go. When the poster posts it thinking they are being original. No, just no.

whataSummer · 29/12/2018 15:03

'Feminist'. The difference between what it used to mean and its current interpretation is doing all women a disservice.

Yes to "calling out". It just seems to be something morons do when they don't like something. Synonymous with 'cause a scene because you're precious'

nottakingthisanymore · 29/12/2018 15:04

Hack.

It’s a tip or a bit of advice. It’s not a hack.

goforkyourself · 29/12/2018 15:06

Jollidays. FFS it's either a jolly or a holiday Xmas Angry

Whoever came up with this word should be shot me

treaclesoda · 29/12/2018 15:07

'shaming'.

Fat shaming, thin shaming, benefit shaming, work shaming, driver shaming, bus shaming, house shaming, parent shaming, I even saw bump shaming.

Nothing is just a mild criticism or difference of opinion any more, its apparently all about being shamed.

MadamBatty · 29/12/2018 15:09

Trans women are women

No debate

BigusBumus · 29/12/2018 15:10

Any words my 16 year old boys use to talk to each other. I can barely understand them. It's all My G, trust, salty, lit, neek, etc.
