I live alone, very happy in my own company. I spent from Sunday to today with family. Returning home tonight and so looking forward to time alone. My friend thinks this is odd - am I odd or anyone else just enjoy their own company?

I think it’s quite normal, Christmas can be lovely but it’s also a lot of time spent with your family in close quarters - even the closest families can start to drive each other mad after a few days and it’s nice to have your own space again!

YANBU I have always enjoyed my own company. I don't live alone now that I am married and have a dc but I have previously enjoys living alone.

I think you get used to being on your own too - when I we at uni, although I didn't live alone, there was only myself to please and I did find it strange when I went home in the holidays.

God yes! I only did xmas day but was glad to get back to peace. Had (lovely and well meaning) offers for Christmas morning as they didn't want me 'waking up by myself' - it's my fav part listening to the radio whilst pottering around and stuffing my face Christmas Day was lovely but so was getting home, having a bath and catching up on Christmas tv with a bottle glass of wine Smile

I'm the same! Loved spending time with my family but after 5 days with very little downtime I was definitely ready to get home to my flat this morning.
