Will this make me ill?

Not an AIBU - bit shamelessly posting here for traffic

DP gave DS his dinner this evening, which was finished off with a yoghurt. DS only ate half, so after we’d got him in his pyjamas I thought I’d finish the yoghurt save wasting it. Turns out DP let the dog lick the yoghurt pot after DS had finished🤮 (the dog obviously didn’t like it, so left it - unbeknown to me!).

Anyhow... we live in quite a rural area, where the dogs are walked daily in woodland - licking goodness knows what!

What’s the odds this will give me a dodgy stomach?

TBH I don't think there is the slightest chance this will make you ill. So sorry you are anxious x

Soubriquet · 27/12/2018 19:21

Nah you’ll be fine

I regularly shared an ice cream with my dog when I was younger and never had a problem

Singlenotsingle · 27/12/2018 19:22

1% I would say. You'd have to be very unlucky, so stop worrying!

Grumpbum123 · 27/12/2018 19:22

I used to share ice cream with a goat in my younger days so I’d say no

Santaisonthesherry · 27/12/2018 19:23

May have caused an issue had dh eaten it - risk of catching him trying to lick his own testicles...

MeredithGrey1 · 27/12/2018 19:25

If you think about the number of people who happily let their dogs lick their faces, they can’t all be getting ill from this all the time so I think you’ll be fine.

Thanks all - will forget about it Smile
