Apologies in advance as I've had a few, but fuck me the amount of AIBUneser Scrooges on here this year is shocking!

I wondered if it was a standard or not tbhShock

ScottCheggJnr · 26/12/2018 21:01

I've not been here long enough to know. But I can well imagine it's like the hot weather Scrooges we hear every time the weather's good.

It’s my first Christmas on MN, and I’m shocked at how many people have had their Christmas ‘ruined’ by some friend or family member.

A couple of these people have had some reason to be upset, but I wouldn’t say they were ruined.

ScottCheggJnr · 26/12/2018 21:14

I'm sympathetic to those who've had genuine issues, but some of the gripes are a bit Hmm.

Is this making me a scrooge now? Grin

MN tradition isn't it? Christmas moaning and petty gripes on AIBU. Happens every year, and you will get to look forward to it.

madcatladyforever · 26/12/2018 21:20

Christmas is enough to finish anyone off, the huge expense, the expectation, the hope of perfection with people you don't get on with normally, hardly surprising people freak out - it's all too much.
I don't celebrate xmas at all and i am totally bemused by it all every single year.

AGHHHH · 26/12/2018 21:20

Christmas can be a hard time for many and people come here to vent. That's all.

masterandmargarita · 26/12/2018 21:23

I agree - I've used that word a few times in posts

EwItsAHooman · 26/12/2018 21:23

A lot of people come here to shout "FOR FUCKS SAKE, FUCK OFF OUT OF MY HOUSE YOU TWAT BAGS!" so that they don't shout it at their families in RL.

Soubriquet · 26/12/2018 21:25

I’ve been a bit disappointed with my family and how they have acted but I’ve not let it affect my Christmas

I’ve had a lovely time with my children and partners so I’m not letting anything bring me down

marvellousnightforamooncup · 26/12/2018 21:27

It seems worse this year. Maybe because I'm home without extended family so I'm mum's netting more. I usually miss the Christmas action, Moldies passed me by completely (that was Christmas time wasn't it?).

ScottCheggJnr · 26/12/2018 23:15

Moldies?

OP posts:
Hezz · 26/12/2018 23:22

Moldies was indeed Christmas time. Maryz burnt her turkey and everything.

NYE can be a bit lively Xmas Smile

MorningsEleven · 26/12/2018 23:27

Ugh Moldies.

This Christmas is full of spectacularly bullshit threads. It's getting old.
