To ask about concerts

Wibu to send my 70yr old mum to a vamps concert? She really likes them and they are playing at a venue in her town next year.

I’ve never been to any kind of concert apart from tribute act types. I know she would hate if, even though she had a seat, she had to stand all the way through. I just don’t picture people seated at concerts, do people stay in their seats? Or do they get up meaning everyone around also had to get up to see anything?

I have never been to a concert which didn’t involve a lot of up and down unfortunately.

You could try for seats on the front row of a block so nobody directly in front?

Yes people stand up. Explain it to her, perhaps show her son's YouTube videos and then let her make an informed decision.

It really depends on the venue, but I’d give it a go! You’ll probably find that she gets caught up in it all, and wants to stand up for the big songs 😃

Some venues actually make you stay seated anyway.

Get her the tickets: nothing better than live music. Though there will be squealing at the Vamps (maybe from your mum..?!)

If you haven't got tickets yet, contact the venue and ask if they have an accessible area that she would be able to sit in.

I struggle to stand for long periods, so usually aim for front row balcony seats where possible.

Thanks for the replies. It seems to be like I’d imagined it would be. I think she’s be ok getting up and down for a few big songs but definitely not all the way through. I remember taking her to an ABBA tribute and she got pissed off that the people in front were enjoying it on their feet and not their bottoms Grin
Good idea to look for a front row thanks. If not I think on the whole I would BU to take her. Thanks everyone.
