Seriously, we bought her hardly anything this year and my house looks like a fecking nursery 🥳🥳🥳 we have a 8 Kallax unit as a TV stand and its full....

I also don't need the 'put them in her room' ideas because shes 2 so I cant leave her upstairs to get use out of it all even if sometimes i really want to

Merry CHRISTMAS 🎄

At that age I had Kallax upstairs with boxes and switched them round every couple of weeks, took some down from her room and swapped

NeedMoreSleepOrSugar · 25/12/2018 17:50

We've turned the dining room into a play room. Kallax and billy bookcases for storage, a giant plastic veg rack for soft toys and an open wardrobe (no doors) for dress up stuff

4point2fleet · 25/12/2018 17:53

Do you have a shed/garage?

If so- toy rotation is what you need. Empty your Kallax (no boxes) and put 1 or 2 toys out on each of 6 shelves and fill 2 with books. Put the rest in watertight bins in the shed. Change what is out every week/ fortnight etc.

ElspethFlashman · 25/12/2018 17:54

8 box Kallax and then about 4 plastic storage boxes but I'm gonna start throwing out the tat they won't miss as an 8 unit Kallax really needs to be enough!

When they get older they can have Kallaxes in each of their bedrooms too as they'll accumulate treasures they'll be possessive of.

I do what @4point2fleet suggests
Rotate and minimise. Rotate and minimise Grin

Not my idea. If you google 'Montessori at home' there is loads of stuff about how to declutter kid's shit support children's development.
