Are the post offices (in uk) open in Christmas eve?

Does anybody know if the post offices in uk are open on Christmas eve?..and if they are closed how long after Christmas would it be before they reopen again?

I just want to get an idea if it's going to be open before I venture into town and possibly make a wasted journey on a busy hectic day

They should be. It’s a regular working day.
The other alternative is to find one like my local one which is part of the shop next door. You can do all your post office stuff during the opening hours of the shop.

They will be open today but will probably shut early. Then will shut Xmas/ boxing day and probably open Thursday again. Will close early on Monday

Most should be. It isn't a bank holiday. If you Google your post office it will probably have opening times.
