I have about eight paintings that need hanging in various rooms in my house. Most are about 60cm square or thereabouts and are framed, so relatively heavy.
I’ve got some old picture hooks and a hammer, but I’m incredibly worried about hanging them myself in case I don’t get the nail in far enough or secure enough, and the painting falls off the wall and breaks. I’m a total novice when it comes to DIY.
How hard is it to hang pictures? AIBU to get a handyman round or should I give it a go myself? I’m on a fairly tight budget but could afford to pay someone up to £100 (in London) to do a good job and hang all eight. No idea if that’s a decent price.
