To have gone off chocolate?

It's probably for the best but i no longer enjoy chocolate.
For all my life, it's been the crutch whether I'm sad, happy, anxious, depressed.
For the last 6 minths, I've noticed it tastes of nothing and i no longer get that calming "hit" that I used to.
I wait for it but nothing happens. There's no pleasure.
Also, malteasers bars aren't even brown, they have a white bloom..
Is it just me?
I'm actually feeling lost because I've lost my crutch.

YABU, chocolate is life.

Chocolate is disgusting now because of palm oil.

Buy something without palm oil like Divine choc. It tastes amazing.

Try ice cream!! Could be your new crutch!! Does it for me !!

I feel like this at the moment, but my problem is that I continue to eat it. I don't want it, it's just a comfort thing. When I'm looking in the supermarket for some that I can eat when the kids are in bed, I never fancy anything, but if I didn't have it, it'd feel weird.

Yanbu most chocolate is sickly and disappointing and the first few bites always taste weird to me! Like, stale.

YANBU. I gave it up for lent in 2017 and I've totally gone off it since.

Unfortunately I have developed rather dangerous jelly bean and spearmint chew habits.

No, it makes me sad how so much chocolate tastes like crap these days. Last time I ate a Wispa Gold, it had the consistency and taste of a wax crayon! I used to love them years ago. Companies keep changing the recipe for cheaper crap ingredients, and twats like Jamie Oliver won’t rest until all food replaces real ingredients like sugar with nasty replicated stuff (which is ironically probably worse for you!).
