Okay hands up if your DH, DP, DF, DB, DS (any male you know) is a man child???

My man child is currently downstairs sulking because his game on the xbox didn't save and because i forgot to get fizzy juice with the Christmas food shop was top of my 3000 item list, honest

I have about 1,000,000 other tales of the man child!

Please share your stories so I know I'm not alone!!

(For the MN police this is a light hearted thread 😂)

I divorced mine.
Man child examples include :ruining my 40th party due to ushering guests out so he could play his new Xbox game - not a birthday of anyone's went by without him buying himself an expensive item.
Refusing to speak to the dc if life wasn't going his way.
Getting a catalogue behind my back to buy expensive golf items despite him not working but getting me a phone so I couldn't complain.
Nothing light hearted about being with a man child ime.

My DB aged 30 calls either me (his younger sister) or our DM at least twice a week regarding: washing, cooking, cleaning, etc etc etc. It drives me up the wall but I do love him dearly. DM must regret babying him until he was 29.

Last week he called me asking what it meant by 60 degrees, 30 degrees etc on his washing machine!!!

I got home from a hard week at work yesterday and he had left work early and wrapped up every Christmas present for the kids. All of them.

Being married to an adult has its perks.

@eefa658 ohhh the washing. I genuinely thought that my man child didn't know how to work our washing machine.... untill I stopped doing his washing. Then low and behold one day a miracle happened.... right around the time he ran out of socks 😂😂

Yes I'm ashamed to say I've got a fully paid up member of the same club here.

Utterly useless and will do things if asked- but never of his own accord, as obviously the kitchen fairy delivers daily.

exDP
We went to see a famous rock band..

Told him security was tight, nothing taken into venue, food, drink etc.

So, he stuffs his pockets full of chocolate bars and sweets.

Patted down by a very polite young guy

Says 'sorry sir you can't take those in, please drop them in here',holding out a bag of contraband.

Ex had a mantrum, threw everything on the ground and stomped off, like a giant two year old, pouty lips, the lot.

I should have left him there and then.

TooLittleTooLate80 · 24/12/2018 17:11

@eefa658 I hope you told him it means the angle at which he has to stand at when putting the clothes into the machine?

My man child (DH) is playing in the play room with DC which is lovely but he could honestly be another one of them if he wasn't 6 foot tall. He's not very good at washing though, he once shrunk my jumper so much it fit our 6 year old perfectly
