The high street...the end is nigh

I am being bombarded by sale emails to my inbox - 50% off before xmas everywhere, this really seems the sign of a struggling high street, we used to have to wait until after xmas for the sales. AIBU to think the high street shopping experience days are numbered?

This is online as well as the high street, I blame the greed originally bringing forward the January sales to Boxing Day, the only way then to out compete was pre Christmas sales.

Just had traffic warden looking in my car window in local high street so left and went home
