To ask for advice re Camel Toe

So I've recently joined a gym and bought loads of new gym gear. Only problem is that the leggings are of such a material and tight nature that no matter how low or high I pull them up I always end up with a camel toe.
I've tried neatly folding up tissue and putting it in the front of my knickers. That doesn't work.
So I'm calling on MN for ideas about how to get rid of it once and for all. I don't particularly have a big downstairs area so I am sure it's just the gym clothes.
All suggestions however wild will be experimented with and reported back on. I'm sick of walking into the gym with what can only resemble a sugar puff stuffed down my knickers.
All ideas welcome!

DD started secondary school, PE kit is leggings, really expenisve (£30 for PE leggings for a comprehensive school!) anyway obviously really good quality, they are v nice.
Got some, horrified. Every groove and cranny on display. Even spoke to some other parents about it I was just WTF that's no good for probably slef conscious teen girls!
They seemed to fit how they were supposed to fit > but wow no. Went size up. They are a bit "too big" now but in practice this means they are not spray on and nowhere to hide.

I know sizing is sensitive etc but I reckon it's worth trying a size up just to see? It worked for DD Smile she is 11 and the leggings are age 14 or something now, it's just a number doesn't mean anything Smile

Main cause of cameltoe is too small sizing, or high-waistedness - are you a shape where the waistband of the leggings is naturally pulled up too high by your own hip/waist curvature, dragging the crotch upwards?

AintNobodyHereButUsReindeer · 22/12/2018 15:14

Flaunt it with pride.

Whataboutbobbo · 22/12/2018 15:24

Sanitary towel

Rafflesway · 22/12/2018 15:35

AS a pp suggested, you need a Smooth Groove!

I have had one for years and use it with swimsuits, tight fitting trousers, leggings etc. Only cost £9.95 and it is absolutely brilliant.

AintNobody Let it loose with the prancercise gallop. 😂😂😂

Ahh thank you everyone for your supportive replies ☺️
@Propertywoe I think you might be onto something with the fact it's just me that's not satisfied with my body in very tight sculpting clothes.

@AintNobodyHereButUsReindeer

Prancercise lady doesn't give a damn about her camel toe. I do though, she looks very uncomfortable.

Cherries101 · 22/12/2018 18:32

They are two small. If you don’t size up that camel toe makes you very likely to get blackheads / abcesses / blisters on your vulval area the more you work out.

redyawn · 22/12/2018 18:36

You need the next size up. That's all!

Etotheipiplus1equals0 · 22/12/2018 18:36

I think camel toe isn’t just down to size but shape. I get it a lot, even if I size up, in all sorts of trousers. Makes shopping annoying Xmas Hmm

Skatersbeskating · 22/12/2018 18:37

Wear boxer shorts.

PawPawNoodle · 22/12/2018 18:41

I saw that you said they're high waisted - this is personal experience for me but I've found that if I wear high waisted leggings and exercise in them (esp on machines) the movements make the leggings ride up further and get consumed. They fit fine with no issues the rest of the time. Maybe try a lower rise?

JustDanceAddict · 22/12/2018 18:42

Long t shirt

SunnyCoco · 22/12/2018 18:59

Yes i think try a lower rise, and choose a style with the triangular gusset so there’s no seam down the middle of the vag area

Maybe also try an 8 just in case, this does not mean you aren’t a true 6, just that sizes in clothes are generally all over the place!

Congratulations on doing so well with recovery I wish you a healthy 2019

AhoyDelBoy · 22/12/2018 21:35

@LuluJakey1
Oh dear! Out of the mouths of babes ay Xmas Shock

ReadWriteDraw · 22/12/2018 23:01

You often need to go up a size with gym wear. Even at my fittest size 6 marathon running leanest (sadly no more!!) I wouldn’t wear an actual size 6, I’d have 8-10.

Though now I cannot get the bob and Tom camel toe song out of my head!
