To eat a tin of Heroes

Judeeee · 21/12/2018 16:27

So I have a tin of Cadburys Heroes which were IMO too naff to give as a thank you group gift. I am at home, on a bit of a downer as really not feeling Christmassy, and have opened the tin. Currently about 10 in....of course I won't eat the whole tub in one go, but AIBU to have not given them and kept them for myself? Xmas Grin

dunno. are you overweight?

EmmaJR1 · 21/12/2018 16:31

Of course not - dig in (unless you have an eating disorder) good is to be enjoyed not earned!

Frankswife87 · 21/12/2018 16:40

Yanbu! Enjoy your treats and I hope you feel better soon Wine

Frankswife87 · 21/12/2018 16:41

Judeeee · 21/12/2018 16:41

frankswife because if she's overweight and doesn't want to be then eating a tub of heroes wouldn't be a good idea.

CandyCreeper · 21/12/2018 16:50

Wow this thread clearly was meant to be light hearted Shock

LordNibbler · 21/12/2018 16:53

Scoff em all and fuck the food police. Jeez, some people are joy suckers.

Frankswife87 · 21/12/2018 16:53

@themoomoo op iam assuming is an adult? If op fancies a pick me up then it's her decision. Enjoy op!

checkingforballoons · 21/12/2018 16:55

YANBU. Putting your pyjamas on and digging in to a tub of chocolates is a very important part of Christmas Grin

Judeeee · 21/12/2018 17:02

themoomoo wow thanks for making me feel even worse about myself Sad

Will put the tub away now.

Yes because they taste like crap

Dramallama16 · 21/12/2018 17:05

OP ignore themoomoo. I’m overweight and about halfway through a massive box of Thornton’s that I bought myself yesterday. Enjoy yourself. Xmas Smile

F1ame · 21/12/2018 17:06

Of course you don’t eat a whole tin of chocolate? Would you eat 3 packets of butter? No you would not. You’ll be ill for weeks.

LuckyAmy1986 · 21/12/2018 17:11

YANBU I actually love heroes. Just don’t eat too many at once because you will end up feeling sick! X

Willow1992 · 21/12/2018 17:14

Ill for weeks? It's a tin of chocolates, not a raw chicken!
I have gobbled up so much chocolate this Christmas. Smile I am normal weight, it's what you eat day in day out that matters, not the occasional/seasonal excess, surely?

Jackshouse · 21/12/2018 17:16

Cadbury chocolate is disappointing now. I won’t you will only regret it.

Judeeee · 21/12/2018 17:19

Definitely not eating the whole lot in one go...but sod you themoomoo and the other food police in here, I'll enjoy the ones I am eating. GinWine

Thanks everyone else for your replies to my lighthearted thread.

I ate a Terrys Chocolate Orange in one go. I felt sick. I have zero willpower to not eat all the chocolate in the house in one fell swoop. My advice would be to get a goodly helping out and properly enjoy each one rather than absent mindedly and rapidly eating them. Just because you are overweight doesn’t mean you can’t have chocolates without feeling (or being made to) feel guilty. Just perhaps not the whole tin as you’ll probably feel vile.

themoomoo · 21/12/2018 17:40

sorry OP didn't mean to sound like such an arse

ikltownofboothlehem · 21/12/2018 17:43

You can't even equate eating chocolate to butter. OP quite clearly says she isn't going to eat them all in one go.
