Plastic tea set? Dress up/make believe toys - a dr’s kit went down well here.

Hopskipjumping · 21/12/2018 14:09

Kitchen accessories
Princess dress
Lego

Kpo58 · 21/12/2018 14:09

Something for dressing up in? My DD loves being pink and sparkly, a dinosaur or any other animal. Or what about Duplo?

Creatureofthenight · 21/12/2018 14:10

Books?

BlingLoving · 21/12/2018 14:10

This age is so easy to buy for. A new doll always works. Dress up clothes. LOL dolls or Shopkins. Hatchimals. Jewellery making kit. Playdoh set. Anything sparkly - pencils, hair clips etc.

it drives me crazy that my extended family can't buy for my DD without asking me constantly. I'm just about okay with them asking for general advice, but when they start sending me pictures of two very similar things to ask me which one she' like more I want to scream.

SleepyPaws · 21/12/2018 14:11

Orchard toys, they have been a big hit with our now 4 nearly 5yr old.

BlingLoving · 21/12/2018 14:11

Books. Crayons and colouring pencils. Puzzles. Anything for imaginary play. Lego. Sporrts kit. New clothes.

Nquartz · 21/12/2018 14:12

I second duplo, dressing up clothes, tea set, books.
Or bath toys

dottiek · 21/12/2018 14:13

Loads of great Melissa and Doug toys on Amazon. The magnetic dress up dolls and reusable sticker pads are a hit at that age!

HJWT · 21/12/2018 14:13

The problem is, she had a birthday a few months back got most of this stuff and I have a huge family who also ask what she wants so my list has run out of ideas 3 days before bloody Christmas!!! I think I will have a look for some dress up but not likely they can get it before Christmas anyway so why not just put money in a card 🙄🤯

Tea set
Plastic cooking utensils or food
Toy gardening tools
Dressing up outfit
Paper and colouring pens/ pencils
Pushchair for a doll
Duplo
Hair clips

Littlebluebird123 · 21/12/2018 14:14

If you don't want more 'stuff' I'd go for clothes.

Or
tea set
the wooden food you can 'cut'
Puzzles
Building blocks (Duplo or wooden)
Crafty stuff (chunky pens, finger paints or even paints which are in the brush already)

Santababyclaus · 21/12/2018 14:18

My dd adores her peppa pig sets. Are there any characters you are missing? Or perhaps they could buy them or another 'scene'.

Suziepoozie · 21/12/2018 14:18

Toy till? Shopping trolly set? Musical instruments (sorry..!)?

BlingLoving · 21/12/2018 14:20

Most of these things are things that can be bought again? LOL dolls, hopkins, hatchimals are all collections. Puzzles/lego/drawing/pencils are always fun to get new, fresh ones. Ditto play doh.
Ditto dressing up.

Tell your family to get down to a local toy store or a large supermarket - I was in my a toy store yesterday and could have filled an entire trolley with things for DD if I'd wanted to.

BlingLoving · 21/12/2018 14:20

Bath toys. Crayons for drawing in the bath.

Creatureofthenight · 21/12/2018 14:21

You can’t have too many books!

Auntiepatricia · 21/12/2018 14:22

China tea set. For some reason my 2/3 yr old adores/treasures that over all her plastic pieces.

Dress up clothes. Princess shoesHmm etc.

BlingLoving · 21/12/2018 14:22

Dressing up stuff is easy to get last minute. Most of the big supermarkets do a great selection. Many toy stores carry a reasonable selection and any party planning store will have loads to. It just involves a trip to an actual shop.

This is actually really annoying me. Probably because I have the same problem with In laws. They want to buy all online, and I land up searching and makign suggestions for them. I'm marginally more sympathetic when they're struggling with ideas for DS who is obsessed with his favourite sport and play station and that's it. But with a three year old, it's not hard to buy.

EssentialHummus · 21/12/2018 14:26

Books, crayons, clothes.

malvinandhobbes · 21/12/2018 14:27

Mine is loving art supplies. She especially likes watercolours and lots of brushes.

She is getting books and pretend play kit (doctor kit, more cooking, little too set).

HJWT · 21/12/2018 14:30

@BlingLoving they don't go out to the shops now so it's amazon prime !

Oysterbabe · 21/12/2018 14:31

My almost 3 year-old DD loves books, puzzles, anything dinosaur related, dollshouse, her scooter, balls, skittles set, her superhero costume. It depends on the child because sparkly princess stuff does not interest her at all.

HJWT · 21/12/2018 14:32

Thank you everyone!! Iv sent hatchimal, dress up and aqua doodle of amazon with delivery before Christmas!! Now just to wait for the reply 🥴
