To tell you about my dreaded Christmas airport trip?

Recent trips to Belfast international airport have seen massive queues for check in and security & generally been stressful & no fun.

Today we're flying from Belfast city. Got here early in preparation for battle. It's been lovely. Our flight is delayed a bit but straight through with gifts for the dc & a free present wrapping station!!

I think AIBU is being misused on a regular basis.

Years ago I was flying to Paris on the 23rd December from Gatwick North Terminal. The train comes into the South Terminal and it looked like Armageddon there (many, many skis, massive queues for check in, couldn't actually get any where near the cashpoint etc. etc.). And that was without any drones.

Bracing myself, I got the little train thing over to the North Terminal where I was greeted by a string quartet playing carols and Christmas songs, Father Christmas gave me some sweets, four queueless cashpoints (at first I thought they were broken!), no queue for check-in and general peace (literally) and goodwill. It was a bit surreal.

Apologies for anyone hoping to get enraged or empassioned by the thread. If it helps, I'm going to stay with the in laws for a week so will undoubtedly have several AIBU in 2 days time. Happy Christmas!

Yes YABU to tell us about your trip as there is no AIBU and no chance of a bun fight, flouncing, biscuits, cheeky fuckery, calls for LTB, give your head a wobble, ducks in a row.
