Sorry gonna continue this hear as you can tell the media and Internet don't like dance and electronic music. They say stuff like it's Highly linked to drugs and all that stuff.

Now personally while I get there is some drugs involved it's not heavily involved and I feel like the truth is hidden. I mean I know a tone of people who genuinely like Dance music and Electronic music I have one friend (she doesn't drink by the way/do drugs) who is obsessed with it. She'd be the girl at Ibiza who's so busy dancing and enjoying the music she doesn't even think about drugs, sex or alcohol.
Also some of it Is actually good if you listen to it. I'm a massive fan of Avicii and Martin Garrix and sadly Avicii killed himself but they both have amazing songs. Even if your not a fan of that stuff you can probably find one song you like.
So Aibu to think it gets a bad rap. And bear in mind it's not the only genre with drugs pop, Hip hop, metal and disco all have drugs as well

YABU - I can't say that I've seen anything on the internet/media dissing electronic music. Who cares anyway, if you like it then listen to it.

Maybe I walk around in a bubble but I haven't seen the media make any fuss about dance music since the 90s?

coolmum223 · 21/12/2018 10:02

@HilaryBriss strange I've found plenty as well as received hate for it online

My main issue with it is that the majority of it seems to be re-sampling of other people's work.
