Zombie threads!

Has anyone else noticed a huge influx of threads from months, or even years ago being resurrected over the past few days? I'm a prolific lurker on the active page and there's loads - it's really annoying (especially as the OP never returned to give an update!)

I noticed some last night in trending and discussions of the day that were zombie threads but there hadn’t been any recent posts on them. It seems to happen now and again and then people think they are current so post on them.

Perhaps something has gone awry with the mumsnet algorithm then. I spotted one from 2013 last night where someone randomly posted advice for the OP, then it snowballed! I wondered if it was good samaritans searching threads.

I read a whole one yesterday without clocking the date, it was quite mundane and an odd one to come back to life

Trending only has 2 threads on now when there were a lot more earlier.

There seems to be a weirdo that does this every couple of months. They’ll open loads within a couple of days.
