I’m clearly not.
Currently squished in bed with DD who has been puking and desperately hoping my other LO doesn’t get it too. Or the rest of us for that matter.

Definitely an argument for kids to break up earlier so they can get all the germ-sharing well out of the way before Christmas.

Just wanted to have a moan while I lay here wide awake, hanging off the edge of the bed, staring at the ceiling.

Fucks sake.

DS and I both have it. I feel like a bag of shite but he just pukes and keeps on playing.

bananamonkey · 22/12/2018 13:41

DD’s just got over it after 5 days, only puking once or twice a day though and sleeping well at night 🤷🏻‍♀️ Neither of us got it despite being puked on (unless it has a really long incubation period...)

frankie001 · 22/12/2018 20:56

banana that’s exactly how I was, felt really ill but only one or two huge voms a day.

Curlywurly1975 · 23/12/2018 21:48

Oh it’s bloody grim isn’t it.
Now DS is looking a bit off colour and complaining of headache for a couple of days. He’s woken up because of the headache the past couple of nights. Calpol relieves it. No sign of pukeyness (yet...)
Anyone else had this? Is this a different bug going around?

I had it Thursday , Ds Friday. Ds recovered quicker than me but still tired . Missed a Christmas party Saturday I was really looking forward to as I am not so selfish as to spread my germs especially at this time of the year.

bananamonkey · 27/12/2018 07:54

Oh I spoke too soon, DH and I have come down with it 5 days after DC last puked Confused He’s vomming, I just have stomach cramps and feel like death

dudsville · 27/12/2018 08:02

We've been ill for the last 3 weeks. It's getting very boring.

RedWineIsFabulous · 27/12/2018 08:05

Some people are just utter scum- sending in kids who have been sick back to school or Nursery without giving a flying fuck for anyone else.

It’s my major hate with my kids going to school and I fucking hate the wankers that do this.

Don’t be so goddamn selfish. Think of others; some of whom you are knowingly passing your germs on to are immune compromised and could become very very unwell as a result of catching your germs you selfish bastards.

Auramigraine · 27/12/2018 09:00

RedWineIsFabulous Fully agree!!

My eldest recently caught a nasty vomiting bug, coincidently after a nice Christmas party treat at school, I overheard a parent saying they didn’t want their child to miss out on it due to illness so obviously the selfish bitch sent her child back in early to spread it round like wildfire so her child didn’t miss out!!
My child was then kept at home upset and missed the Christmas crafts and nativity because I adhere to the 48 hour rule!!
