Hi everyone ...have posted on quite a few threads since joining a few months ago but this is the first time I've started a thread.

More of a WWYD really. I have my hair blow dried and straightened approx every 2 weeks. Have roots done every 5 weeks. Mostly same hairdresser except when not in. I always tip on the day.

Due roots done tomorrow...last appointment before Christmas. Do others buy their hairdresser a small gift for Christmas, give bigger tip as a little bonus or just give usual tip.

I always bought previous hairdresser from a different salon a present. We got along really well, talked about allsorts, they she left to have a baby. Not same rapport with this one but she's fine with my hair. Was wondering what others do? Is it fairly normal to buy a gift/extra money or not? Can't decide what to do so wondering if thoughtful mumsnetters views might help. TIA.

I put a bigger tip in a card for mine

Thanks for that Boswell. Think that's what I will do. Saves trying to decide what to get and have it wrapped before my appointment tomorrow.

I took in a box of celebrations for them all to share today.
