Sainsbury's cancelled my account and Christmas order!

I had a random text from Sainsbury's this afternoon... Tried to log into the app and it's treating me like a new customer and when I just rang them they can't find my account or Christmas order from the order number!

The call handler said something about account takeover and it being easy to sort - but that it can take 48hrs!!!

AIBU to think that 48hrs is too long when delivery is Sunday and it's all my Christmas stuff and WTF is happening? She said not to worry about my saved card details but forgive me if I don't trust them.

Help.

Sainsbury's cancelled my account and Christmas order!

Christ! I'd be shitting myself! Sorry I can't offer any help, just sympathy.

That’s awful! Do you have the order confirmation email so you can show them? Surely they’d have to honour it if they don’t manage to sort it out within 48 hrs.

They did this to me last March when beast from the east happened!! Sorry but I think it’s just their way of getting out of it, rather than cancelling they will blame it on technical issues. Take this to social media NOW if you can

Are you sure your Sainsbury account wasn't hacked?

KittyMcTitty · 20/12/2018 21:13

Do you have an order email?

I wouldn't be surprised if they have over stretched themselves and have randomly cancelled orders. I had a similar thing happen to me with Sainsbury's several years ago.
