To think I might have made myself ill with my cleaning product

Feeling very worried. Been cleaning today and then this afternoon I’ve got a sore throat. Thought it was weird as I’ve just had a cold.

When I was cleaning using the new stuff I’d bought I read that I should use gloves. When I’ve read up on it, it says because it uses chlorine it can be dangerous. Wash the hands if you touch any. Well I’ve been cleaning with it all day. Can cause chlorine poisoning which cause things as well as a sore throat and it will have got through my skin as I’ve got cuts all over them anyway due to having dermatitis. My hands are very sore but this isn't too unusual.

Just wash your hands thoroughly and drink plenty

Its much, much more likely to be a cold. People clean without wearing gloves all the time with no ill effects. Try not to worry!

The effect on your throat is more likely to be inhalation rather than absorption through your skin

I wouldn't worry that you've done yourself significant damage though unless you get other more serious effects
