I need to pop out later to get a secret Santa pressie for Ds for school.

AIBU to ask you if have seen any in Sainsbury's/ Tesco's/ Asda as I really don't want to trek Ds around all the shops?

Thanks Wink

Some Harry Potter stuff in Asda.
Or there was when I was there this morning.
But I didn't really check out the 'gift' bit.
But lots of PJs etc.....

SaucyJack · 19/12/2018 13:54

Sainsbury’s most definitely did have a range of HP gifts in our big one last time I was there.

BlueAndWhiteTunica · 19/12/2018 13:54

There is a massive Harry Potter range in Primark at the moment.

sunshineandthunder · 19/12/2018 13:55

Sainsbury's have a range too.

HeadsDownThumbsUpEveryone · 19/12/2018 13:56

I would second Primark if you have one nearby. They had loads of Harry Potter inspired gifts in at the weekend and most were being reduced!

Biggerknickersagain · 19/12/2018 13:58

Asda and B&M near me had HP stuff in at the weekend.

Somewhereovertheroad · 19/12/2018 13:59

Unfortunately no Primark near here. Ds has looked at Argos but there stuff is very expensive.

Thanks so much for the replies. He wants to get her a wand I suspect she probably already has some

Asda have HP clothes and also collectible small metal figures.

Sainsbury's have a gift range for HP but quite expensive, I think.

Poundland had a fair bit of HP stuff - cute Dumbledore/Voldemort mugs, pens, pencil cases etc.

I think Tesco have stuff like soft toys of HP but I could be mistaken.

SylviaAndSydney · 19/12/2018 14:03

Tesco have some novelty Harry Potter items.

juneybean · 19/12/2018 14:04

Loads in Sainsbury's at the minute

Somewhereovertheroad · 19/12/2018 14:05

I will check Poundland as going there anyway. Ds doesn't think there's a limit but it's usually £5 I don't mind spending a little more but it's for a 10 year old so not too much.

Sainburys had some wand pens and stationery if that helps?

I am wondering though how old he is, secret Santa's are normally for older children in my experience, with younger children just giving cards so shouldn't he be sorting it himself?

Somewhereovertheroad · 19/12/2018 14:11

He is 10. has some additional needs so doesn't like shopping

I have mixed feelings about secret Santa for school kids. I have four kids, although two had secret Santa this year. It does put extra pressure on parents.

We will rurally so at least 10 miles from any Asda/ Tesco etc which does reduce their ability to sort much for themselves!

Poundland has just introduced a Harry Potter range if you have one near you? It had mugs, notebooks etc last week in my local one

WhentheRabbitsWentWild · 19/12/2018 14:13

Don't know if you have one near but I went into Ryman earlier and they had a whole shelf of various Harry Potter things . Wand pens, mugs etc etc .

JohnnyKarate · 19/12/2018 14:14

Tesco’s have a large Harry Potter range this year. I bought my secret Santa their present from it.
