Apologies slightly pathetic but -

I work in a very small school in admin. I am doing a maternity cover and will be here for the whole academic year. The position is full on and I work hard.

Have just finished the term - 3 days after the teaching staff who left last Friday.

Yesterday I was processing the Head’s receipts and found that they have given the rest of the staff Xmas gifts.

At first I was thinking - I am really not bothered. Today, as no card materialised for me, I found myself wondering why Sad.

I should just get over myself maybe?

Maybe because I am here for the year only I am not a worthwhile investment??? Or maybe the Head thinks I am not doing a good job??

If you've been there since September YANBU

How did their receipts reveal this? You seem to have a lot of information from just
‘X items from x shop £x’ on a piece of paper.

ALL staff? Or just teachers? Did any other admin get anything?

It’s unlikely to be anything to do with your performance. You can’t possibly raise it as it shows an unprofessional interest in the contents of the receipts.

I don't think there is much do do, but I think it is a bit shit and I'd be hurt too.

I wouldnt expect a present as a temporary cover, a card yes but not a present

why100000 · 19/12/2018 13:28

I put two and two together from what someone else had said, and the receipt.

No of course I wouldn’t raise it, but I am a bit hurt. Yes I’ve been there since September. No card either.

I don’t mind per se but I am reading other things into it. Maybe they are not there.
