My MIL is absolutely wonderful. I have invited myself over to hers on Boxing Day because I am going to my mum's on Christmas day. She has de camped us all to DSIL . AIBU to wonder if we are really welcome. My kids are lovely and we all get on well.

Maybe she wants to see dsil as well? Or have all the family together? Maybe she already planned to see dsil and wants to include you too.

Why do you feel unwelcome?

I don't feel unwelcome. We all get on really well.

I am lost. Why are you wondering if you are really welcome?

I'm a bit confused. You say you wonder if you're welcome, but then say you don't feel unwelcome. If you all get on well I don't see the issue with going to SiL, unless there's more to the story?
