I've just been told that my son needs to wear something christmassy for his nursery Christmas sing song tomorrow. I tried the only closest shop to us for a jumper but it was too pricey. He had a white t-shirt anyway so I drew on it but I've ballsed it haven't I? I'm so rubbish at this!! I was gonna tart it up with a bit of wrapping paper🤣 is this ok though! His first year doing anything like this and I wanna get it right

Can't see it 😂

Hoppinggreen · 18/12/2018 17:01

It’s fine
Stick some tinsel on it or similar.
Most schools schools say not to buy anything special and just use what you have

Puggles123 · 18/12/2018 17:01

Yes, it’s cute! Probably be a wide array there from the subtle through to glittertastic.

Drogosnextwife · 18/12/2018 17:01

X post, it's fine, draw a few more pics on maybe stock wrapping bow on it?

Hoppinggreen · 18/12/2018 17:01

That’s lovely

Thespace · 18/12/2018 17:02

Bit of tinsel? Headband with antlers?

Tiredmumno1 · 18/12/2018 17:02

Yeah, bows and tinsel if you've got any spare Xmas Smile

EatsFartsAndLeaves · 18/12/2018 17:04

That's great, do some more pictures I you get time, they're cute!

MothertotheLordsofmisrule · 18/12/2018 17:05

Sew some baubles on?

Maybe add some ‘Ho Ho Ho’ s or ‘Jingle Bells’

loubluee · 18/12/2018 17:05

Draw several more of what you’ve drawn. Then add tinsel

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 18/12/2018 17:06

I like the idea of baubles and tinsel!

LL83 · 18/12/2018 17:06

Santa hat if you have one?

T-shirt is great.

madnstressed · 18/12/2018 17:07

I've no tinsel but I could cut a bit off the ones on the tree I suppose? 😂
How unorganized though to only be telling people now!!

I like it. I agree with draw some more so it's a bit more covered. Some tinsel will give it some sparkle. Job done Xmas Smile

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 18/12/2018 17:09

That's cute. Maybe a few more pictures drawn on. If you have tinsel or battery operated fairy lights or old decorations you could pin them on too.

But honestly the nursery aren't going to throw him out for not being christmassy enough!!

Just a tip though get a jumper/t-shirt in the sales after Christmas (at least one size bigger than you will need and generic so no flossing or other fads so it lasts a few years) they often go down to under £5 even decent brands, I've bought tops for £1 each!! My dd has worn her jumper for 4 years now, so buying her a new one in the sales 😂 they do festive wear all during primary!

CantWaitToRetire · 18/12/2018 17:09

That's not ruined at all. You are good at drawing so I'd add a few more pictures. If you have some tinsel or bows, sew or stick them on too.

Aeroflotgirl · 18/12/2018 17:11

It is great, but more pictures are needed on it Smile.

madnstressed · 18/12/2018 17:12

Thank you all! I've never ever got a Christmas jumper before, he'll usually wear something smart for Christmas day but investing in one during the sales sounds good thank you all

Or try charity shops. I’ve just donated some lovely ones.

Ffsnosexallowed · 18/12/2018 17:14

If you have some spare baubles or then on too. There's no such thing as an overdone Christmas t shirt.

EmUntitled · 18/12/2018 17:45

A bit silly to only give you 24 hours notice, although most people have a santa hat or deely boppers somewhere which would do the job

madnstressed · 18/12/2018 17:57

Not even 24 hours, he is due in at 10am!!
I honestly don't have a santa hat or antlers, fairly boring house lol will buy some for next time
