Starbucks candy cane hot chocolate has a red sauce on...I presumed a minty sauce. Nope. Strawberry

Some candy canes are strawberry, I wouldnt consider it unusal.

Why on earth would a red sauce be minty? Traditional candy canes have red and white stripes - strawberry and mint.

I think the red and the white of candy canes are BOTH minty
