Iced tassimo drinks

My dd loves Costa so I bought her a tassimo machine as a surprise for Christmas with loads of caramel latte pods.
At 5 this morning I woke and thought its iced lattes she likes, is there any way to make iced ones??
I have a dolce gusto one which has a cold switch but I don’t think the tassimo does.
I’ve googled and apparently you can get barcode things for iced drinks but they are just for water levels and the drink comes out hot still- surely the ice cubes will melt straight away??
I feel like it’s a simple answer but I don’t know what Grin

Make it and let it go cold!? Grin

Just use the machine for the espresso element and add into cold milk/water with ice. No suggestion for getting froth though.
AFAIK the latte and cappuccino pods come as two parts but idk if the caramel is in the milk or coffee!

I can’t believe there isn’t an easy solution, other than the let it go cold idea Grin

Could you return it for one that makes cold drinks? 😅

Make it and bung ice in it

Allthewaves · 17/12/2018 12:48

Or buy espresso pods then top with cold milk and shot of syrup

Fatbutt · 17/12/2018 13:15

I have a dolce gusto, but only use cold for iced tea... for the coffee I make an espresso or cafe au lait (Hot), pour over Ice, add a tablespoon of condensed milk and top up with cold milk, add more Ice and its done! - sometimes add some flavoured syrup to mix it up a bit

Cant see any reason you couldn't do this with a tassimo too Smile

Oooooh! You've reminded me I was going to buy one of these for my husband for the same reason:

In the summer, I'll make up a jug of espresso from my Tassimo and bung it in the fridge to get cold. Then I froth milk, add syrup & ice, pour over the espresso and bobs your uncle, iced latte.

If you've got the flavoured lattes already, I'm not sure how you could do it, except make it and wait for it to go cold!

monkeysox · 17/12/2018 20:49

Pound shop and b and m quite often get iced versions in cheap 😉

Justyou · 17/12/2018 22:38

I’ll take a look next time I’m in thanks
