sharing a bathroom with someone having their first period, smearing menstrual blood around the room and generally making the tiles look like a murder scene.

Surely most people deal with their periods far more competently than that. Such language is as needlessly emotive as the headline of the article.

@HestiaParthenos

#2 of misandry - suggest that anyone who disagrees with you anonymously must be male.

HestiaParthenos · 17/12/2018 16:58

You know, anyone who uses the word "misandry" without irony, I won't take seriously anymore.
Misandry is about as real as racism against white people in the UK.

I would have used "they", but your ilk get offended at that, too. I even included a gender star behind the guessed pronound, what more do you want?

Seeing as you seem to assume girls smear their period blood around the room, I could either assume you are an utter and complete idiot, or you are male and like to make up things.

I was being nice, really.

I've actually learned a lot from this thread.

Period discussion aside for a moment, I really don't like that at school a trans girl, who has a penis (I.e. is biologically and anatomically male) would be allowed to use the girls toilets. Or a trans boy who has a vagina can use the boys toilets.

Am I being really out of touch here?

Ginpink I'm with you. There are only 2 sexes. Humans can't change what nature has decided they are, and science hasn't come so far as to be able to change the DNA in every cell in a human body. So yeah, people will just have to get used to the idea that they are genetically male or female, and that their DNA can't be changed to be the opposite or their decided gender. They may not like it, but that's the way is it unfortunately.

All to do with the 'feels' I'm afraid. kids are being brainwashed into thinking that there are numerous sexes and genders. Genders maybe, but sexes.....nope there are only 2.

Back in my day, we just had to make do and be fine with it. Then we went out and played with our pet raptors Grin. Great distraction technique when you got bitten. At that point you didn't care if you were boy or girl, you just wanted your raptor to get a smacked arse for being naughty.

Hmmmm, that make me sound like I'm ancient. Ach well. I just got used to my DC calling me a relic Grin. I don't take them seriously though.
