I have to have a little dessert every night after dinner...I have alpro hazelnut and chocolate, a few squares or Lindt or a small slice of cheesecake. It's not good but I just crave it! Any suggestions for low fat desserts...no fruit please!!! I want something goey and sweet!!

I have a little something every night! Cake No, where is my cookie dough...

chillimartini · 16/12/2018 21:01

@Polarbearflavour it's dessert because I usually have something light.

No harm. Little bit of what you fancy does you good Smile

Polarbearflavour · 16/12/2018 21:03

Noooooo it’s pudding!!!!!

Pudding pudding pudding. Sad

dangerinthemanger · 16/12/2018 21:05

Even if it’s light is still pudding Wink

MilkyCuppa · 16/12/2018 21:05

I have to agree with @Polarbearflavour. Even if it’s only a square of chocolate, it’s still Pudding. We never ever use the D word to refer to the sweet course after a meal Confused

ViragoKnows · 16/12/2018 21:06

Mousses. Lemon, chocolate or strawberry.

greendale17 · 16/12/2018 21:06

It is dessert

ViragoKnows · 16/12/2018 21:07

Yes. It’s pudding, not dessert.

No, it’s “afters” Smile

Puddings come out of pudding bowls.

tillytrotter1 · 16/12/2018 21:07

I was told by a chef that a pudding is hot, a sweet is cold and a dessert was fruit/nuts eaten away from the table, ie desserted.

Sinead100 · 16/12/2018 21:07

It's dessert.

shakes head

chillimartini · 16/12/2018 21:12

FFS can you all just make some suggestions. I will call it dessert as pudding to me brings up images of warm bowls of bread and butter with custard

@Polarbearflavour you are missing the point of the thread. I'm not interested in being judged by you.

Nothing wrong with having something OP. Would A yoghurt or fruit do?

chillimartini · 16/12/2018 21:18

@ViragoKnows sorry! You did and it was a good one...thank you

OP posts:
blackteasplease · 16/12/2018 21:18

Oooh I love sorbet. And meringues!

itsalmostfriday · 16/12/2018 21:20

It's not pudding it's dessert.
Pudding is a type of cake.
Dessert is a generic term to describe a sweet after dinner course.

And don't even get me started on people who call dinner 'tea'
Tea is a drink!

You could opt for a piece of fruit to cut down on the calories
