Apparently, in my grotty joggers and DP's fleece and no make up and hair in a bun I don't look 25.

Ha! In my fifties now but I answered the door once in my thirties to a door to door salesman who asked “ is your mum in?”. Made my day.

This reminds me of another little story texted to Ken Bruce on his Radio 2 show. A middle-aged woman buying alcohol at a supermarket was asked to prove her age by a teenage checkout operator. The man behind the customer burst out laughing. When the teenager said "We have to ask", the man replied (still laughing) "Just look at her!"
The middle-aged lady did not actually hit him. Very restrained.
